Service  Lieutenant Blair served with the Meerut Volunteer Cavalry during the months of June, July, and August '57 in the Delhi and Meerut districts. Also with the 7th Punjab Infantry in Brigadier Seaton's Column from November '57 to February '58. Present at the actions of Gungeeree, 14th December '57; Putualu, 17th December '57; Mynpoorie, 27th December '57; and Bowgong, 7th April '58. Served in Mayne's Horse with General Michel's Force in pursuit of Tantia Topee and the Rao Sahib during the months of September, October, and November '58. Present at the affair at Koorai, 25th October '58. Served with General Napier's, Colonel Riche's, and Captain Roome's flying Columns from. January to September '59 in the Seronge jungles, and those on the Saugor Frontier. Present at the affairs of Richwa, 16th May '59; Goonapoorie, 23rd June '59, and several minor ones. Mentioned in a Despatch by Captain F. Roome, Commanding Basoda Field Force, 24th June '59. Mutiny Medal.
