Service  Major-General Brooke, C.B., served in Bundlecund during 1809-10; also throughout the Nepal War under Sir D. Ochterlony, 1814-15, including attacks upon Nallaghur, the heights of Ramgurh and Fort Malown; present at the siege of Hattrass, 1817; served throughout the Mahratta Campaign, 1817-18, under Lord Hastings; present at the siege and capture of Bhurtpore, (blown up,) 1826. Medal. Army of the Sutlej, 1845-46, including the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon; in the two former of which actions he commanded the whole of the Artillery. (Medal, 2 Clasps, and, C.B.) Army of the Punjab, 1848-49, as a Brigadier Commanding the Horse Artillery. Present at Ramnuggur, also in the actions of Chillianwallah and Goojerat. Medal and 2 Clasps.
