Service  Surgeon-Major A. W. Crozier, F.R.C.S., served with HMs 26th and 55th Regiments in China, in 41, 42, 43. Was at the taking of Amoy, re-capture of Chusan, and occupation of Ningfo. Medal. Served in the Gwalior Campaign, and was present at the battle of Punniar, in charge of the 50th Native Infantry. Bronze Star. Served in the Sutlej Campaign with 16th Lancers, and was present at the battles of Buddiwal and Alliwal. For his services at the last battle he received the special thanks of Lieutenant-General Sir H. Smith, Commanding. Medal. Officiated as Superintending Surgeon in the action on the 5th July 57, near Agra, against the Neemuch and Nusseerabad Mutineers. Had a horse shot under him, and was thanked in the Despatch for services performed on the occasion; was in Medical Charge of the 3rd European Regiment in the action of the 10th October, at Agra, against the rebels from Gwalior. Was in Medical Charge of the 3rd in the action with rebels at Oriya. Served the whole of the hot weather Campaign of 58 against the mutineers, in the affairs of Etawah and Mynpooree Districts. Was in charge of the 3rd or Moveable Column under Command of Colonel Biddell, which marched towards Gwalior to cooperate with Central Field Force; thanked by Colonel Riddell in his Despatch for services rendered on the occasion. Medal. Twelve times thanked and mentioned for efficient and valuable services.
