Commanded the Advance Guard of Brigadier Wilds Force, in the Khyber Pass, 19th January 42. Commanded his Regiment in the action of the Khyber Pass, and 23rd and 24th January 42; at the forcing of the Khyber Pass, 5th April 42; actions of Gundumuck and Mamoo Khailin the following August, and all the other operations leading to the re-occupation of Cabul, 42, under Major-General Pollock. Medal. Commanded the Escort over the Sikh Sirdars and Mooloog, from Lahore to Allahabad, in 49. Served with the 2nd Infantry Brigade as a Field Officer at the siege of Delhi, 57. Dangerously wounded near Ludlow Castle, while in Command of the Metcalfe Horse Picquet, 23rd July57. Mentioned in Brigadier Showers Despatch. Medal and C. B.
