Service  Lieutenant Ward served as a Volunteer at the latter part of the siege, and at the assault of Delhi, 14th September 57. Served with the Guides in Brigadier Showers expedition in the Delhi District; and was present with a Detachment of Guides at the battle of Narnoul, 16th November 57. Served with the Guides in General Cottons expedition on the Eusuffzaie Frontier, and also in General Chamberlains expedition against the Cabul Khel Wuzeerees. Mentioned in the Despatch of Major Brind, 1st October 57, and in that of Captain Caulfleld, 24th November 57. Medal and Clasp.
