The documents concerned may also be viewed at the India Office Records at the British Library or on microfilm at one of the LDS Family History Centres, These records are genealogically very important, since they generally contain justification of his age, usually in the form of a certified copy of an extract from his baptismal record, names and occupations of his parents, reference to his schooling plus the necessary letter of recommendation from a member of the EIC's Court of Directors
