Born Fritton May 27th 1882
Killed at Polo at Rawal Pindid
14th December 1905
The Officers of the 19th Lancers and
The Black Watch unite in this sign
Of Affectionate remembrance

There's also a memorial to his brother in the church who was killed in action in the Transvaal 1901.
