From 1852, Civil Marriages were permitted in India and these may be found in the India Office N/11 series records in the British Library. Here we reproduce INDEXES to these records indicating the names of the Grooms and Brides and the range of years in which the marriage took place. For the later series, an indication is also given of the location of the marriage. The full records are available for consultation at the British Library. If you found FIBIS.org helpful to your research and would like to make a small donation so that we may continue providing this service. Please DONATE HERE. Thank you.
