Body of text  WILLIAM GALBRAITH YOUNG, born 10th October 1917 at Greenock, son of John Young and Janet Gilmour McGown; educated at Greenock Academy 1923-9, Oban High School 1929-36, University of Glasgow 1936-40, MA (1st Class Hons. History 1940), Trinity College 1945-7 (Hons. Dip. 1947); service in R.A.M.C. In India, Iraq, Persia and Cyprus 1940-5; licensed by Presbytery of Lorn 30th April 1947; ordained by same Presbytery as missionary to Punjab 16th June 1947; located at Sialkot 1947-50, Daska 1950-2, Sialkot from 1953. Married 17th October 1950, Elizabeth Crawford Young, born 21st January 1917, daughter of Benjamin Wiseman and Bella Noble, Fraserburgh, and has issue, Isabella Noble, born 14th July 1951; Janet McGown, born 13th January 1954. Publications – articles in religious journals; tracts in Urdu on various religious subjects.
