Detail  [Pages 640-641. Born in Limerick, 1785, son of Archdeacon Maunsell. Made a commander, 1808, and was captain of the Procris brig on the East India station, where it destroyed the Dutch Company Wagster, about July 1810. At the commencement of the operations against Java captured 5, and destroyed 1, gunboat off the mouths of the Indramayo river, in the boats of the Procris. Promted to captain of the Illustrious, 74, and in the operations against Batavia played a part in the land operations]
