Detail  Officers slain in India. Lieut. John Lucas Romulus Pollard, of H.M.'s 31st Foot; sixth son of the late Wm. Dutton Pollard, esq. of Kinturk, Castle Pollard, co. Westmeath. He entered the 31st as Ensign Jan. 17, 1840, and was appointed Lieutenant 20 May, 1842. He had been slightly wounded in the previous action of Moodkee.
