Detail  [Pages 432-433. At Bombay, aged 67. ""One of the talented family of Mr Pollock, a saddler near the Mews at Charing Cross"". Born 1780, called to the bar Middle Temple, 1803. Was made Chief Justice in 1846. Revered by the natives of Bombay despite having been in the country only 7 months. Died of abscess of the liver; a passage had been taken for him on the ""Childe Harold"" which was to sail to the Cape in a few days. Leaves children. Interred in the cathedral]
