Accompanied the expedition to Java in 1811 as doctor for the 78th Regiment. Remained in India until 1824. Back in India in 1829 as Superintendent Surgeon, and in 1832 a member of the Medical Board, and was president when he retired in January 1838. Knighted 1844. Married in 1809 a daughter of Wiliam Oliver, esq. of co. Limerick] |
