Detail  [At Balan-hill, aged 70. Son of the Rev. Henry Williams, Vicar of Udny, Monmouthshire by a dau. of John Williams, esq. of Mathern, same county. Entered the army as a Lieut., 1800. In 1842 he was appointed Major General on the staff in the Madras presidency, returned to England in 1848]
