Detail  At Ceylon, the Rev. John Fearby Haslam, for nearly twelve years a missionary in that island in connection with the Church Missionary Society, and principal of the Native Theological Institution at Cotta. He went to Ceylon in 1838, having been previously curate at Chesterfield.
