Hon. Ernest FitzRoy Neville Fane, Lord Burgersh, son and hir apparent of the Earl of Westmoreland. He succeeded his brother as Lord Burgersh in May, 1848, was a Captain in the Scots Fusilier Guards, and for some time acted as aide-de-camp to Sir Edward Blakeney, Commander of the Forces in Ireland. He married in Oct. 1849 Augusta-Selina-Elizabeth, only child of the late William Lock, esq. but having had no issue is succeeded by his brother, Major the Hon. Francis William Henry Fane, of the 25th Foot, formerly aide-de-camp to the Governor-General of India. |
