Detail  At Singapore, on his way to Australia, Col. Peter Laurie Pew, of the Bengal Artillery. He was a cadet of 1806. He was one of the greatest speculators in India; in 1845 he is said to have been worth £250,000; in 1850 he was a bankrupt.
