Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Mr. Francis Lemesle, who departed this life the 19th October 1822, aged 77 years. He was steward for upwards of 27 years to the Governors General formerly in Bengal:- The Right Hon'ble Earl Cornwallis, K.G.; Sir John Shore, Bt.; the Most Noble Marquis Wellesley, K.G.; Sir G.H. Barlow, Bt.; the Most Noble Marquis Cornwallis, K.G. and Gilbert Lord Minto.
