Inscription  This tablet is erected by the officers of Her Majesty's 15th Regiment in testimony of their sincere regret at the loss of brother officer during the period of the Regiment's service in Ceylon. Lieutenant George Edward Hunter ... [died] on the 5th July, 1854, at the early age of 25 years.
