Inscription  Hier legt begraven de Hoog Welgeboren Heer Lubbert Jan Baron van Eck, Heer van Overbeek, raad extraordr. van Nederlands India, Gouverneur en Directeur van het Eyland Ceylon met des onderhorigheeden, hier te Colombo overleden den 1 April, 1765, nae van bevorens het genoegzaam ontoegankelyk en door de natur als onverwinnelyk ryk van Candia met dies hoofdstd in perzoon voor de Companie ingenomen en dies Koning op de vlught verdreeven te hebben.
