Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Captain George Napper, of His Majesty's 51st Regiment, Late Town Major of this Garrison, who departed this life December 21st,1804, aged Forty-four years, twenty-two of which were devoted to the service of His King and Country. Should chance they footsteps hither bend, Turn not in haste away. A braver soldier, warmer friend, Death never made his prey.
