Entry  GIMBER – A most unfortunate accident, we hear, occurred on the Hannah's going to sea the other day, which cost Mr Gimber, the head pilot of the port, his life. It would appear that on quitting the Hannah outside to go on board his own boat, he had missed his footing or lost his hold in some way, and fell into the sea, and was drowned. His body has nor yet been found – Courier, March 2nd.
