Entry  BENNETT – At Blean Wood, near Canterbury, Lieutenant Henry Boswell Bennett, of the 45th Regiment of Foot, stationed at Canterbury. (He was shot through the heart in the late riot at Canterbury, by a supposed maniac, named Thom, alias Sir William Courtenay, who headed the rioters. Lieutenant Bennett had served in the Burmese war.)
