Entry  At Mangalore, on the 18th Nov. 1845, Dr. Benjamin Griffith Evans, aged 33 years, of cholera; after an illness of only a few hours, assistant surgeon on the Madras establishment, and Zillah surgeon, Mangalore, most sincerely esteemed and respected from his professional acquirements, and most amiable and courteous dispo- sition. His death thus sudden is deeply felt by all at the station, by whom his memory and his worth will be ever remembered.
