CommentWANT A PHOTOGRAPH OF ONE OF THESE HEADSTONES?

This is one of the graveyards for which FIBIS commissioned Mr Rajat Sharma to take photographs and details of all legible headstones. All inscriptions are included wherever they are legible.

Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of the undermentioned Men, Women and Children of No. 4 Coy. Western Division, R.A., who died at Roorkee between 1894 and 1898. Corpl. T.G. Dagge, aged 36, died 20th June 1895. Gunr. J. Thomas, aged 23, died 5th July 1895. Gunr. J. Mannion, aged 27, died 8th August 1895. Gunr. F. Cook, aged 23, died 27th April 1896. Eliza, wife of Bombr. Hills, aged 36, died 28th January 1896. Rosina Matilda, daughter to Bombr. Brooks, aged 17 days, died 24th May 1895. Edward Prothero, son of Corpl. T. Weatherall, aged 6 months, died 30th March 1898. Gunr. J. Shaw, aged 27, died 14th October 1898. This memorial is erected by the Officers, N.C.O.s and Men as a mark of esteem.
