F.B. Deane Spread, Attached 58th Rifles F.F., who was killed by a bomb at Moulin du Pietre Flanders on the 25th Sept. 1915, aged 23 years & 6 mos. He gave his life for freedom, and we who weep with tears have sealed the sacrifice beloved sleep. A nameless grave is his yet with the honoured dead, of those who for great England's cause have fought and bled. |
