Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Major Henry John Parkinson, Bombay Army, who died at Ootacamund, 8th June 1859, aged 59. This tomb is affectionately erected by those who are left to mourn the locc of one sincerely respected and beloved, for his many amiable and endearing qualities. His end was sudden, but peaceful; for he over trusted in God through the merits of his Saviour for salvation. ""Father! Thy will be done.""
