Mentioned in the Despatches of Major-General Sir J. Thackwell, 18th February 49. Accompanied an Irregular Force for the capture of Sirdars Tall Sing, Murrareeale, and Soorut Sing Meyuteeale. Received the thanks of the Governor-General, 29th October and 8th November 49. Received the approbation of His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief for progress made in constructing accommodation for Troops in the new Cantonments of Umitsur, 30th March 52. Received the acknowledgments of Government for "valuable service rendered to the telegraphic department," 19th January 55.
