Service  Lieutenant Grey joined Delhi Force as a Volunteer, 22nd September 57. Present in the actions of Boolundshuhur and Allyghur, and the skirmish of Ackerabad. Detached to reinforce the Garrison of Allyghur, under Lieutenant-Colonel Eld. Served in 57, 58, against the rebels in the Allyghur and Etah Districts. Served in Sir T. Seatons Column in the Doab Campaign, December 57. Present at the engagements of Gungairee and Puttiallee. Served as a Volunteer with Sir H. Grants Force in Oude, November and December 58. Present at the attack on Forts Koheia and Kolooee. Present with the Force under Colonel Christie, during his operations (including 2 skirmishes) on the left bank of the Gogra. Served with the expedition under Lieutenant-Colonel Vaughan, to clear the Keronia Sota Pass (skirmish); the final advance to the Nepal Hills, and capture of the enemys guns at the action of Sitka Ghaut. Served with, the Force under Colonel Vaughan on the Nepal Frontier, in 59, including various skirmishes with the rebels in the Nepal Hills. Medal.
