Service  Captain Johnstone served in Bundlecund, 42, 43. Commanded the Murree Volunteers in September and October 57, and aided in putting down a rebellion among the surrounding Hill Tribes. Medal. Served on the Staff of General Chamberlain as Surveyor with the expedition against the Kabul Khel Wuzeerees, on the North-East Frontier, in December 59 and January 60; also served in the same capacity with the expedition against the Mahsood Wuzeerees, on the North-West Frontier, April and May 60.    
Remarks  (Has furnished certificate of qualification as a Surveyor and Civil-Engineer.)
