Service  Colonel Nuthall served during the 2nd Burmese War, in 52, and received the thanks of the Commander-in-Chief for his services. During the War, drew together three outposts of the Arracan Battalion in the Aeng Pass, and surprised and captured the Norigan Stockade, at the summit of the Pass. Received the thanks of the Commander-in-Chief, 6th February53; of the Governor-General, 9th February 53; of the Court of Directors, 9th June 53; and honorably mentioned in the House of Lords. Brevet-Majority and Medal. Received the thanks of the Governor-General several times for services with the Pegu Light Infantry, 53, 54.
