Present at the siege, storm, and capture of Ghuznee, 23rd July 39. Medal. Present at the occupation of Cabul. Commanded the Kumaon Battalion, during the Mutiny, from May 57 to July 59. Present at the siege, storm, and capture of Delhi, 13th October 57. Mentioned in the Despatch of Brigadier G. Campbell, 9th November 57. Served with Brigadier Showers at the advance on the Goorgaon District, and commanded in the District, from November 57 to October 60. Served in Oude under His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief, December 58. Entered Nepal with Brigadier Horsfords Column, and present at the capture of the rebels guns at Luddega Ghaut, 9th February 59. Mentioned in the Despatch of Brigadier Horsford, 15th March 59. Medal and Clasp.
