Commanded the 3rd European Regiment during the Mutinies of 57, 58, in the actions near Agra, against the insurgent Neemuch Brigade, 5th July, and against the Indore and Mhow mutineers, 10th October 57. Commanded the Mynpoorie Moveable Column throughout the operations near and at Shereghur Ghaut, 16th May, and the Agra Column towards Dholpore, co-operating with the Central India Field Force under Sir H. Rose, against Gvvalior, in June 58. Medal and C.B.
