Mentioned in the Despatch of Brigadier Showers, 12th August 57. Served under Lord Clyde at Futtehghur, in Command of a Squadron of the 17th Irregular Cavalry. Served with several diiferent Columns in the Jumna Doab. Present at Cawnpore, under Sir J. Inglis, during the Operations, leading to the final capture of Lucknow.
