Service  Captain Vincent served during the Sutlej Campaign, 45, 46; and in two expeditions against the Angamee Naga Tribes, in the Hills of Assam, in49,50. Present at the action of Alliwal, and at the taking of Fort Konomah, in the Naga Hills, 10th December 50. Medal. Mentioned in the Despatch of Major Foquett, November 60. Commanded a Detachment, 1st Assam Infantry Battalion, against a refractory Hill Tribe in North Assam. Received the thanks of the Government of India, 10th May 47; of the Government of Bengal, 17th January 51; of the Government of India, 12th February 51; of the Government of Bengal, 25th January 53. Served as Political Officer in an expedition to the Angamee Naga Hills, Assam, in 49 ; also in March 50. Volunteered and remained in the Naga Hills till November 50, in Command of 80 Sepoys, and held Civil, Military, and Political control over 100,000 men.
