Service  Lieutenant Worsley served throughout the defence of Lucknow, from the 30th of June till the 22nd of November 57; was mentioned in the Despatches of Major-General Sir J. Inglis, and thanked by the Governor-General, 8th December 57. Present with the Force under His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief which drove the Gwalior rebels from Cawnpore, at the actions of Khodagunge and re-occupation of Futtehghur. Was present during the siege and capture of Lucknow in March 58, and at the aifairs of Baree and Nuggur, under Sir J. Hope Grant. Commanded a Regiment of Sikh Military Police at the relief of Sandeelah and in the action of Jhummoo, under Brigadier Barker, Royal Artillery. Mentioned in Despatches. Also in. the Baiswarrah (Oude), under Brigadier Evelegh, at the action of Poorvvah, capture of Simree, the affairs of Beerah and Dhoondeah Khera, and the capture of Doomrah and Trans-Gogra, until end of Oude Campaign, Medal and 2 Clasps, and one years extra service.
