Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Patrick George Sinclair Esq Senior Branch Pilot HCBM who departed this life on the 15th September 1836 aged 53 years and 22 days. Mr S was much esteemed by his superiors for his long and faithful services of 38 years and universally respected by those who served under him. He united in his person all that could command regard and excite admiration. A mind more generous a heart more pure and a disposition more amiable than this could not exist - added to these qualities he was a most affectionate father a kind husband and a sincere and warm friend.
