Inscription  This tablet has been erected by his children in token of their love and sorrow and to honour the memory of their beloved father George Ronald McDowell Civil Engineer PWD, for many years Divisional Engineer of Lucknow. His loyal singleness of heart, his earnest character, and his trust in God, appeal to them as an inpiration and an example. He entered into rest in his sixty-third year at West Kensington, London, on the 30th August 1902.
