CommentList of Appointments made and Candidates chosen by the Secretary of State and the Railway Board. Volume held by the British Library reference IOR/L/PWD/5/30

The Government of India asked that a certain number of appointments be made each year from 1919 to 1931. Candidates were invited to a personal interview by the Committee and listed In merit order. Should one of the candidates be rejected or fail, then one from the Reserve List would be chosen - again in merit order.
