In August 1835 a bill of complaint was filed in Chancery by Alexander Kirk of Blackhall, Cumberland & Sarah his wife, John Workman of Botchergate near the city of Carlisle, hatter & others against Sir Henry Fletcher, Bt. & William Bromley. The Rev. John Fletcher Wilkinson, doctor of physic, by his will divided his estate in five shares among “hius four sister and mother William & their children”, brother William dead as was sisters Lucy & Mary, sisters Sarah & Barbara… Fletcher, Bromley with Nicholas Lowther were executors… the deceased was one of the residuary legatees of William Wrangham, deceased… deceased made a will proven at Fort William in Aug 1807… [of Fort William in Bengal, d 11 June 1807, to William Collins of Exmouth, Devon, Esq., limited to substantiate proceedings in Chancery, £50, Estate Duty Registers], Pts |
