Detail  This morning, a ten o'clock, the remains of Sir Eyre Coote, K.B. were landed at the Jetty-hard, in the dock-yard, the Bombay-castle firing 21 minute guns… [lengthy account of the funeral in Plymouth, 2 September, his body being removed to West Park, 7 September, & buried at Rockwood parish church on the 14 September with ""a sermon being preached by the rev. Mr. Hulse, the company's chaplain"". Coote had died near Madras on 27 April 1783. Pages 716-717].
