Detail  Captain HEICS at Calcutta, Esq., bach. Limited admon to John Mackenzie of the Inner Temple, London, Esq. The deceased at the beginning of 1780 at Calcutta was about to return to Europe when he received from John Murray Esq. at Calcutta one box containing 4000 Lucknow Sicca Rupees, the property of Kenneth Murchison Esq. of Lucknow to be delivered to the said John Mackenzie. A receipt was handed over. In March 1781 Daniell arrived at Trinquabar, a Danish settlement, & wrote a letter to Murchison dated 7 March... suggested procuring bills on the Danish company... the boex when opened lacked 14 rupees... bill of exchange for £1642 to Richard Butler & William Bolton, Daniell's attornies in London... the deceased died November 1781 on his passage from Trinquabar to Europe. There was no will. John Daniell the father of the deceased filed his bill of compalint in the High Court of Chancery against the said Richard Butler for an account of the money. Butler has paid the sum into the Bank of England... Pts
