Detail  Belonging to the EIMS Woodford, bach., died 7 September last. On the 5th of that month while sick he desired Francisco Antonio Montes to write his will. Montes was both Portuguese and unable to speak English. He wrote the will in Portuguese from verbal instructions given to him. It was signed in the presence of Francisco Xavier Cordozo (since deceased), Joze Lobo and Florentino Pereira ""all shipmates and countrymen"". The sole executor was his countryman and shipmate Francisco Da Costa Coello. Coello took the will and kept it in his possession until about 5 days after the death of Gonsalvez, when he gave it for custody to Samuel Hollingsworth the purser, who was confined to his bed by yellow fever, and lost the will during that time. A careful search was made but it was not found. The deceased's father was Manuel Coello Gonsalvez who was cited but in no wise appeared. Limited admon was made to William Mitchell the attorney of the executor and sole legatee, £40, Pts.
