Summary of Service  1817: Writer. 1819: Register of the Zillah of Chingleput. 1820: Register of the Provincial Court, Centre Division. 1822: Deputy Tamil Translator to Government. 1823: Junior Deputy Secretary to the Board of Revenue, and Mahratti Translator to Government. 1826: Mahratti Translator to the Tanjore Commissioners. 1827: Secretary to the Board of Revenue. 1832: Member of the Board for the College and for Public Instruction; Acting Member of the Board of Revenue; Register to the Sudder and Foujdarry Adawlut; Temporary Member of the Board of Revenue. 1833: Mahratti Translator to Government. 1836: Third Member of the Board of Revenue. 1837: Second Member of the Board of Revenue. 1838: Member of the Indian Law Commission, Calcutta. 1839: Mahratti Translator to Government; Second Member of the Board of Revenue; Member of the College Board; Member of the Indian Law Commission. 1847: Member of the Indian Law Commission and Provisional Member of Council. 1848: Member of Council, and President of the Revenue, Marine, and College Boards. 1855: Member of the Legislative Council of India. 1858: Proceeded on furlough; Resigned the service, 1st May, in India. (Annuitant on the Fund, 1859).
