Body of text  STEWART WRIGHT, born Inveraray, 15th October, 1829, fifth son of James W, writer; educated at University of Glasgow; ordained to St George's-in-the-Field's, Glasgow, 23rd May, 1855; chaplain at Madras, 1858-65 and at Bangalore, 1865-71; admitted to this charge 3rd August, 1871; died 29th November, 1887. He married Alice (died sp 27th October, 1913), daughter of Colin Smith, DD Minister of Inveraray. Publication - Annals of Blantyre (Glasgow, 1885)
