	Body of text	LEGATE, GEORGE WILLIAM, born 1850, son of George L, minister of the Secession Church, Kilkinamurry, County Down; educated at Queen's College, Belfast; BA (1867), MA (1869); licensed by Presbytery of Rathforland 3rd October 1871; ordained (assistant and successor) in Second Dungannon Presbyterian Church; resigned 1st October 1877; appointed missionary to Madras November that year; served till his death at Beyrout 1st July 1883.
