In memory of
William Marmond Mules
Lieutenant and Adjutant
1st Bombay European Fusiliers
Who was killed at Mooltan
31st August 1858.
Whilst gallantly attempting to rescue some soldiers of the Royal
Artillery who were surrounded by the Mutineers.
This monument and the memorial window in the this church were erected by the officers, non-commissioned officers, and men of his Regiment as a mark of the regard and esteem in which they held him as a soldier and the love they bore him as a comrade.
