Richard William Wake, Rector of Courteenhall, Northamptonshire, and a Rural Dean. He was the younger son of Sir William Wake, the eighth Bart. of Courteenhall, by Mary, only daughter and heir of Richard Fenton, esq. He was of St John's college, Cambridge B.A. 1797, as 3d Senior Optime, M.A. 1803; and was presented to his living by the Lord Chancellor. He married in 1798 Jane, daughter of Sir William Dunkin, one of the Judges of the Supreme Court in Calcutta; she died in 1823, leaving issue three sons and one surviving daughter. |
