Present at the final assault and capture of Delhi, at the action of Narnoul against the Joudpore Legion and other rebels, and commanded the Regiment after Colonel Gerrard was mortally wounded, and brought it out of action. Present under Sir T. Seaton, in the Doab, at the actions of Gungeeree, Puttiallee, and Mynpooree. Present at the final siege and capture of Lucknow under Lord Clyde, in March 58. Medal and 2 Clasps. Present during the Campaign in Oude, and engaged in several minor combats after the capture of the Capital. |
