Service  Major Maisey served throughout the Burmese Campaign, 52, 53. Medal. Present as a Volunteer at the attack and capture of Rangoon, 12th, 13th, and 14th April 52. Present at Donabew at the actions on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th February 53, against the robber Chief Nga Mya Toon. Present as Staff Officer under Sir J. Cheape against the same enemy, from the 6th March 53 to their final defeat and dispersion on the 18th. Present as 2nd in Command with a Detachment of the 67th Native Infantry, and conducted several skirmishes with the enemy under the rebel leaders Gaingee and Gaong Gelay, on the 17th, 18th, and 19th August: personally commanded on the latter date, in the repulse of an attack on the Town at night. (Wounded.) Honorably mentioned and thanked for services in February 53, at Donabew, by the Brigadier Commanding at Donabew, by General Godwin, by the Officer Commanding the 67th Native Infantry, and by the Governor-General. Served during the Mutiny of 57 with the Delhi Force. Present at the action of Badlee-ka-Serai, 8th June 57, charger killed while carrying orders to the Troops in attack. Brought to the notice of the Commander-in-Chief in the Despatches of Major-General Sir W. Barnard, 12th June 57; of Major-General Reid, 17th July 57; and of Major-General Sir A. Wilson, 22nd September 57, and received the thanks of the Indian Government. Medal.
